Working From Home As an Affiliate Marketer - The Future of Sales By Ant Luth

A couple of nights ago, I had a friend over that I hadn't seen in over a year. The last time I saw him, all we talked about was how much I hated my job and that I was going to do something about it.

When I was trying to explain to him what I do and what affiliate marketing was he stopped me half way through and said, "Sounds like a scam if you ask me, Ant."

All I said was, "Let me tell you a little more before you say that." I continued explaining what I do and once again he stopped me and said the same thing, "If it sounds too good to be true, which is what this online business stuff sounds like, it probably is."

That made me remember what I felt like when I first started marketing on the Internet. I thought it was a scam too. I saw tons of "Make $5,000 In Your First Month" advertisements all over the place and I couldn't see how working online could allow me to do such a thing.

If you are in the same predicament as I once was you should try this out and see if it works for you like it did for me. Working at home may seem like a scam but this really did work for me and hopefully my affiliate marketing strategy will work for you too.

First, sign up with Clickbank.com and see if you can find a product that you or a friend might take interest in.

Second, send out an email to everyone you know that might be interested in the affiliate product and get him or her to click the link and check it out.

Third, make sure it doesn't cost too much because it's easier to sell someone something cheap first rather then make them spend a lot of money on something they know nothing about.

Lastly, once they've made the purchase, go check your Clickbank account and as long as you sent them your affiliate link, you will see an affiliate commission credited to your account.

It's as simple as that to make money online. Think about if you did that on a larger scale with more products? More over, think about if you did it in different niches and could promote multiple products to each of those niches.

If that's not enough to convince you to give this a try, let me tell you this. You can work as an affiliate for many popular companies such as eBay, Amazon, Virgin Mobile, etc. All you have to do is write informative articles and refer the reader to the product or service and if they buy or complete the desired action, you will earn money.

I'm not saying that there aren't scams out there because there are a lot of them. But affiliate marketing in general is a legitimate business that you can make a lot of money from if you do it correctly.

Many affiliate programs that you should avoid will be ones that say they teach you how to trick the system. Promoting these products may get you black listed, it will look unprofessional on your part, and you will damage the credibility of your online business.

So, in essence, make sure that you do your research on the product and read reviews before you choose to promote it. Once you've found an affiliate product that has reviews from people that sound like they've used the product, promote it wisely with a marketing strategy and you will see affiliate commissions that may be more than you make at your day job right now.

Ewen Chia - The World's #1 Super Affiliate By Luke Etheridge

At the World Internet Summit Ewen Chia explained exactly what you DO need to succeed in this business and just how simple it can be. As I have previously mentioned Ewen had to hold down a full-time job in order to feed his family and actually had to work on this business from 11pm until 3pm every night. The reason I am telling you this is to illustrate how it is most definitely possible for ANYONE to succeed in this business. Anyway, these are the things that Ewen feels are essential...

- You need time = 30 minutes a day (hardly unbearable!)
- You need sufficient knowledge and Tools
- You need professional guidance (get yourself a mentor, this does not have to cost money - just follow and study them)
- You need a proven system (e.g. Ewen's Affiliate Marketing system)

In addition to this he also let us into his 5-step process to becoming a success with Affiliate Marketing.

STEP #1 - You need to find a hot converting product

- Get a 'ClickBank' account (marketplace for affiliates)
- Go to 'marketplace' at the top of your screen
- Click on 'sort by'
- Search for 'high gravity product'
- Searches are all ranked with the top selling products at the top
- High Gravity = Simply, A product that is making affiliates a lot of money!
- Hottest topics to look out for: health, hobbies, sports, beauty, finance, self improvement and sex! (Promote to people who are willing to spend money)
- Ewen's HOT TIP: Solve people's problems = Such as; pain (neck pain), health, relationship, finance, legal etc.

STEP #2 - Get converting keywords

- Go to the Google Keyword Tool = googleeasysearch.com
- Look for highly searched keywords
- This way you will find an appropriate niche in high demand
- Always multiply Google's results and figures by 3 for accuracy (Ewen's research has proved this)
- Copy and paste those keywords into your site (for Search Engine Optimisation)

STEP #3 - Join Affiliate Programs

- Join Affiliate Programs for multiple products in any one niche
- Armand Morin believes you need at least 20 products in any one niche
- Join Affiliate Programs and make a commission on every sale from your referral link
- Many products will pay YOU, the affiliate, up to 70% of the products earnings
- You didn't even create the website or the product yet you can make money from it
- THAT IS MORE MONEY THAN THE PRODUCT OWNER
- This is why Ewen has so much faith in this system as it has worked for him and he has no doubts it can work for anyone.

STEP #4 - Create an Instant/Quick Website

- You could use XSitePro 2 (see earlier blog post)
- Create an informational site for visitors
- Answer peoples simple searches and problems with your simple page
- Insert AdSense, Amazon and Clickbank links for multiple streams of income
- Get RSS and Google News to automatically feed to your site providing more valuable content
- Insert video bars from YouTube related to that niche
- Have a scrolling auto-feed from Ezine Articles displaying all relevant articles for that niche
- All of these tips will simply provide the searcher with more and more content to get their teeth into and make them stay on your site for longer
- Every click equals profit!!

STEP #5 - Traffic!

- To get people to click these links you need traffic
- Visitors = Sales
- You can do this with the right keywords
- You need to try and think of exactly what your potential buyers will be searching
- You need to accumulate Targeted Traffic to generate sales
- You can use various free or paid methods for advertising your site
- Free = It snowballs, it's FREE and it's permanent
- Paid = Expensive, risky and very short term

Ewen discussed that there are so many ways to get targeted traffic to your site and that this system was destined to succeed if you follow all or even some of them. A very interesting fact about Ewen is that he has around 5,000 websites to his name and he can't even remember the name of most of them (let alone the URL's). His point by telling you this is that you have to create multiple streams of income to become a millionaire with this method.

If you would like to learn a little more about Ewen Chia and his ground breaking list building and affiliate marketing techniques please Click Here! CPA Arbitrage - A Guide to Instant Fortune By Piter Smith

You cannot get the gurus of CPA arbitrage to tell you how much money they make. If they did, then they would have to face competition in the market and would find it difficult to get customers. The gurus of internet marketing who discover the secret of making money online rather use that secret to launch a product of their own to sell. Now, the product that they sell will not reveal the complete secret which they have discovered. They will reveal only half of the secret and then have you buy their next product to know some more about becoming an internet marketing expert. One such guru of internet marketing and his product is Chris Cobb CPA Arbitrage.

The products, when launched are free of cost but you will have to to pay monthly charges as you go ahead and sign up for the newsletter. The Chris Cobb CPA Arbitrage, however, reveals all the CPA marketing techniques to anyone who is willing to foray into the world of internet marketing. The gurus of internet marketing, however, are not very happy with Chris Cobb revealing all the secrets and techniques which they themselves use. According to CPA Arbitrage review, this product is an excellent guide which encompasses the various aspects of CPA. It provides its users with vast information and a complete know how of ways on how you can make the best use of it. Thus, it makes you an expert in CPA marketing.

The Chris Cobb CPA Arbitrage review says that CPA or cost per action is an internet marketing product or channel that will pay you only if you follow the defined rules of the industry. Thus, it may sometimes also act as PPA or what we call pay per action. So, when you deal with the CPA offers, then according to the internet marketing industry guidelines, you will earn only when a prospective customer registers himself or fills up a form or if the customer signs up for some offer online. The requirements of the CPA can at times be shortened with a single email option. At times, it can also include other options like filling up some complicated forms like applications, surveys and downloading of different media applications.

There are a range of offers and conditions of CPA which pays you only when there is an action performed. However, there are a lot of lucrative programmes and offers from CPA which will help you make instant money. There are many companies which pay between a quarter and up to four dollars for every visitor who enters an email information. There are again some CPA companies which pay up to $150 for more complicated actions performed by the clients like participating in a free trial or giving their address. This, indeed is one of the easiest ways to make money online.

Ewen Chia and His Affiliate Marketing Techniques By Luke Etheridge

I recently attended the World Internet Summit 2009 at Heathrow Airport in London, England. At that event is where I learnt some of the best and cutting edge marketing techniques I have ever come across. All of the speakers were absolutely phenomenal in grabbing the audience and capturing everyone's concentration, and rightly so as most of them had some truly mind blowing things to show us!

One of the speakers that really stood out for me was Ewen Chia. Now, Ewen's talk was so inspiring to me that I have decided to dedicate a whole blog post on the guy. Basically to sum him up; Ewen Chia is the "Worlds #1 Super-Affiliate" and has made such success online from simple affiliate marketing. When I say simple I really mean SIMPLE...If you could ask me who, out of all of the speakers I have seen, who would seem to have perfected a system that generates huge amounts of cash and does the least for it, I would say Ewen! I do not mean that in a bad way because everyone's dream job has always been to do what they love (their hobbies) and 'work' from home doing as little 'work' as possible. Ewen has achieved exactly this and perfected it to a fine art with Affiliate Marketing.

For those of you who do not know already here is a little bit about Ewen Chia (taken from the World Internet Summit hand-out). Since starting as an early Internet Business Pioneer in 1997, Ewen has truly come a long way. Today he is one of the world's most famous and respected Internet Marketing Experts. He is often called upon for his ingenious marketing advice, especially in the areas of Affiliate Marketing, List Building, Product Creation and Branding.

Ewen is also referred to as the "Worlds #1 Super Affiliate" and his name is synonymous with Affiliate Marketing, although this is not all he does. Widely known as the "secret weapon" of many Internet Marketers, he has the uncanny ability to trounce the competition and take on the coveted #1 reseller spot in almost every marketing roll out if he wishes to. Ewen will guide and teach you how to become wealthy with the Internet. For example, a brand new Internet Business he set up generated US $100,000+ in less than 30 days. Many people following his teachings have been able to quit their day jobs and make their own income online. Do you think this is a good guy to model and follow? This is EXACTLY the type of mentor that an up and coming Internet Marketer needs!

Chris Cobb Shares the Secret of Making Money Online By Piter Smith

Chris Cobb is one of the elite marketing gurus of the internet marketing industry today. He is widely known for his product called the CPA Arbitrage, which is a home study course that teaches all about CPA marketing. Since the launch of this product, he is considered a guru in the field of internet marketing. You will, however, be surprised to know that before CPA Arbitrage happened, Chris Cobb was under huge debt. That was about three years before he launched this product. This is also the time when he decided to get into internet marketing, which is one of the most lucrative forms of business today.

According to Chris Cobb review in CPA Arbitrage, Chris shares his strategies and secrets on how to make quick money online. He works from the comfort of his home and declares that he can share with you the strategies to make money. Through this product he basically provides you with the guidelines of becoming a traffic adviser. The role performed by a traffic adviser is to gain client leads from the publisher and then accordingly forward the details to the advertisers. Through this product, Chris Cobb also tells you about in depth details of CPA advertising. The product discloses information about how you can use this product and the ways in which it can help you to secure money. The Chris Cobb review says that the product provides comprehensive details which are important to get entry into the CPA networks.

Chris also tells his clients about the CPA system and how it works. You get to know about the system from within, and are given the chance to share as many activities as you want in the CPA system. You are taught the strategies that need to be used to profit more from the CPA system while making use of both the parties- the advocate and the publisher. It goes even further and gives you insight into how you can become an advertiser or a publisher yourself. You can thus learn to earn instant cash by getting to know about the most intricate of the CPA networks. Chris has also disclosed his strategies of how you can warrant your income through this system.

The CPA home study course also has some low points. One of the vital set backs of this program is that it is hard to understand in one go. Especially, people who are new to the field of internet marketing may find it hard to understand in an instant, and hence will have to work on it step by step. It is, however, perfect for people who have some knowledge of how internet marketing works and are already in the business. According to Chris Cobb review, CPA is not as perfect as it may seem to be. No doubt, it is very pleasing and effective, but you need to be persistent with it in order to use it successfully.

Discover What Affiliate Marketing Actually Is By David Argo

For many people that have been online, trying to make money for awhile, this may already be common knowledge to you. But for those of you that are new to the game of making money online hopefully this article will help you out a little bit. Affiliate marketing, really, is just when you sell someone's product and in return for doing so get a cut of the profit made from the sale.

This concept has been around for years and years but online it's very different. In the online world many products are e-books or digital books. Since these books don't need to be shipped what they are sold for is nearly 100% profit. The seller of this book is more than willing to give his affiliates 75% of the profit just as a little thank you because you've made him 25% of the cost of the book without him even breaking a sweat. (Not a bad deal, right?)

For example if you sold an e-book about recipes for 40 dollars at a 75% commission rate you would make a whooping $30 and the owner of the book would make $10. In this case all parties win because the buyer got a great book, the affiliate got most of the money for doing most of the work, and the owner of the book got $10 for not doing a darn thing.

Can you see why so many people love making money online now?

This is essentially what affiliate marketing is and as you'll see in other articles of mine there are all types of different ways you can earn commission being an affiliate. Whether it's from CPA offers (cost per action), or e-books like we just talked about. The online world is a completely different world than the brick and mortar world and the possibilities are sometimes scary.

Here are 3 powerful benefits of joining an affiliate program today:

Benefit #1 You Can Get Started For Free And Begin Earning An Income

The way an Internet marketing affiliate program works is that you will be promoting the services or product of a specific company and you are going to be rewarded based on the amount of results you are able to get the company. So this means that you can get involved in this program absolutely free and all you have to worry about is promoting it.

Social Marketing and the Christmas Season By Ken Vogt

The Christmas buying and selling season is ready to take full flight after Thanksgiving. As an internet marketer, you have a chance to grab your share of the increased buying activity on the Web. Your goal this season should be to tap into new platforms to reach your target market. You can do that via social marketing.

What is social marketing? It is advertising and marketing that reaches potential consumers through social networking websites. Examples are Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, LinkedIn and others. Links to your website, or specific product or service landing pages, are part of your user's profile. In addition, as you post on these sites you can include an advertising or marketing link with your message.

Essentially, social marketing involves creating a marketing message designed to promote your product or service. However, you do this while engaging in informative conversation with others. Effective social marketing is an exchange of ideas, advice, info and tips between users of a particular social site.

A marketing message is part of this conversation. The thing is those who blatantly promote without concern for others needs, usually garner little from these sites. People on the receiving end of these hyped sales messages tend to tune these people out. Users of social networking sites want useful information from others. They want a dialogue and a sharing of quality information.

In effect, social marketing is like article marketing. With article marketing, you write good articles and distribute them through a quality content distribution service. You're looking to give something of value to your readers. You want them to appreciate the wealth of information and help you give them in your article.

Of course, you want them linking from your article to your website. It's the same with social marketing. During the holiday season, the web is a busier place. You have numerous opportunities to meet and talk with others online. You can offer them the same quality information as you do in your articles.

Its smaller chunks of information you present, but helpful information nonetheless. Added to this information are links to your website, or affiliate product links. You can also point readers of your message to other sites where they can get useful information.

This builds your credibility as a site participator. People begin to trust you. They see you're looking to help others find solutions to problems, or answers to questions and concerns. Therefore, there's a right way to approach social marketing.

First, you have to devote time to social marketing. You can't expect to post once or twice on a site and then get reams of traffic. You must post consistently so others can get to know you. As they engage in dialogue with you, they learn to trust you, and the business you're promoting.

It's not too late to begin now. Who knows the connections you can make in the next month. Post consistently each day and week. You just may make some connections that lead to extra Christmas season sales for your business.

Second, you have to give your undivided attention to others on social sites. In other words, listen closely to what someone who connects with you is saying. Effective social marketing, at Christmas, or anytime, is a two-way street. It's not all about you, what you're offering.

Think of your response, or lack thereof, when someone's hogging a conversation. You can't get any of your ideas and questions across. You quickly become bored with someone who always hijacks a conversation. You move on to talk to someone else who likes to share ideas. Therefore, be attentive to the concerns of others on any site you frequent this holiday season.

Third, you have to contribute useful content consistently. Contributing a few friendly posts to make connections, only to follow them with continual blatant sales pitches won't work. You build good online relationships through contributing good information always.

In this way, you build the rapport that leads to "leads." People will click on your links to find out more about your products and such. That's because they see you as a reputable online marketer who has their best interests at heart. Don't give the impression that you're "hunting down a sale at any cost"; it'll cost you your reputation.

Remember, at Christmas, people receive a constant bombardment of Madison Avenue hype. They don't need this from your social networking commentary. They need practical information from you and helpful tips. Let them learn to trust you. Let them make the decision to link back to you and further a business relationship with you.

Definitely utilize the social sites available to you for marketing your business this holiday season. Start today. Remember though, it's better to give than to receive. In the end, you giving quality information via social marketing will have you receiving the traffic you desire anyways.

8 Mistakes to Avoid on Facebook By Suzanne Vara

Facebook, the 2nd most visited site (only behind Google) with over 300 million users and over 40 million status updates each day, is becoming more than a place to catch up with old friends, post photos of our kids, pets and play games. As Facebook grows so does the marketing opportunities. With all advertising and marketing, there are the right ways and the wrong ways utilize the site.

8 Mistakes to Avoid on Facebook

1. Incomplete Profile/Fan Page. This is repetitive however an incomplete profile or fan page does not give enough insight of who you are and what you do.

2. Focusing on the Numbers of Fans. We all want a lot of fans but we need to be able to engage and build a relationship with them. If you missed it, a fantastic discussion was had on Sunday evening #blogchat, hosted by @MackCollier discussing communities and blogs however, this can translate over into Facebook. Recap notes are posted on Scribnia.com by @DavidSpinks.

3. Using Personal Profile for Commercial Gain. Facebook has updated the Terms as recent as August 2009 and this is a violation of their Terms. Fan pages are for marketing, not personal pages.

4. Advertising/Selling via Wall Post. Profile pages are cluttered up enough with Mafia Wars and FarmVille - trying to sell by interrupting someone on their wall with a post screams spammer!

5. Improper Event Invitations. This is becoming more and more frustrating as events that people want to see are being overshadowed by poorly targeted event invites. No-one says it better than Peter Shankman.

6. Bulk Messages. Not every fan or "friend" fits into the same category of your message. Take a minute to know your fans/friends and target the right ones with the right message. Just because they are single does not mean they want a dating service. Trust me on this one!

7. Being Non-Responsive. Same rule applies as it does to blog comments. Be the most frequent voice on your fan page. The best conversations and friendships are born from responding and talking.

8. Improper Contest/Giveaway/Sweepstakes. Facebook is really clear on this that you must have their permission to run any contest, giveaway or sweepstakes. See Terms.

If you make a mistake - fix it and apologize. People will appreciate it greatly and respect and learn from you. Social media marketing is about learning and sharing - the good and the bad. No-one has all the answers and those that are the most respected have made mistakes but correct and apologize.

Facebook is growing and they are making strides to have personal pages be personal and fan pages be your marketing site. There will always be spammers but as marketers we can do our part to enjoy our friends while promoting our company.

How to Promote Your Band on Twitter, Facebook and MySpace By Gino Orlandi

Social networking sites have a lot of effect when it comes to promotion. There are millions of users worldwide who log into their social networking accounts everyday and participate in the discussions. When it comes to promoting your band, it is absolutely crucial that we can utilize the full power of social networking sites for the promotion of our bands.

A short simple message can turn viral and in turn, can give you thousands of new fans overnight itself. When it comes to promotion of your band using social networking websites like twitter, Facebook, MySpace and others, there are high chances that you get exactly what you want.

One of the best ways to start off your campaign online on sites like Facebook and MySpace would be to create an online group or a community based on your band's name. Highlight the history of your band, throw in some venues where you have performed, collect the response from fans out there and put it altogether in that community.

Whenever new member joins your community or your group, they eventually add up to your band's fan size. What's more, you can even keep them updated about the current event and schedule by tweeting them through twitter.

Recently, Twitter has been into news and has already created history. Users registered over there can start a group. And once it is created anyone if free to follow you. In return, you can send them short limited sized messages to all your followers. How can Twitter be of your help?

You can create your group there. Have followers out there after some time of promotion and then keep your followers updated about your band. It might seem a vague idea but you cannot know when your followers can increase more than ten times in a week, provided you promoted cleverly.

Another way of effective ways of promoting your bands online through social networking sites is y taking part in discussions. Thousands of music lovers come together and have a discussion there. What you have to do is start a small conversation or introduce your band there.

Within minutes, members will start recognizing your band and in this way, you can take advantage of the targeted traffic coming in at such discussions. With proper strategic planning, you can actually reap fortunes from sites like Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and others.

Twitter Headline Tips For Your Online Business By Willie Plasencia

Twitter is considered to many as a powerful tool to market your online business. The traffic potential that Twitter can provide to your website is limitless.

For this reason, I feel it is important that an online business owner should spend some time and learn some Twitter headline tips that will help improve website traffic and website product sales.

Twitter headlines tips to get your online business noticed.

1) Keep Your Tweets Short.

What is interesting about Twitter is that it forces a person to convey a message within 140 characters. If your receiver re-tweets your message, room must be available so that credit is given to the person who sent the original tweet (an unwritten Twitter rule).

So keep in mind to shorten your url's and use as little characters that you can. Using url shortening tools like bit.ly will help greatly.

2) Use Universal Twitter Abbreviations and Acronyms

Using abbreviations and acronyms are allowed and I do not have a problem when people use them. However, as an online business owner, I feel you should always be professional and use abbreviations that do not effect your message and lessen your presence online.

3) Post Highly Relevant Messages

What I like best about Twitter is that it allows you to choose who you want to follow and who you want following you. This allows you to have a more targeted market of people that you can tweet to. So as to keep their attention, tweet about; the best, the worse, the smallest, the biggest, the easiest, the hardest etc...that relates to their interest.

Providing top notch information (tweets) that have EYE catching headlines will help make your message go viral.

4) Remain Visible

Keep in mind that a combination of business and non-business related tweets can build a large and loyal following. As for the percentage of each, that will be all up to you. Gauge your results for accuracy.

What supersedes the above is that it is important that you tweet every day, keeping in mind the time of day of your tweet and when it is best to promote and or not promote your business.

5) Ask questions to your followers

Twitter is also considered a powerful research tool. Surveys or polls or just wanting to get to know your followers better, the Twitter platform is an excellent way to gather information of all types.

So do not be afraid to ask open ended questions, especially when you have an established trust with your followers. Allowing your followers to get a glimpse of your business and of how serious you are about online success will attract more followers.

Twitter is way more than what I believe Biz Stone and his partner Jack Dorsey thought it would become.

Twitter has become a dream tool for business owners around the world.

Dedicated to your success!

Plugins For Your Blog - How to Use the 5 Top Plugins By Laura J Miller

It seems that a lot people are confused on just what blog plug ins are and how to install them properly. What are blog plugins and why do I need one? A plug in, is a download you can get for free at many different places on the Internet. Depending on what you are trying to do will depend on what blog plug in you get. There are many different ones for different functions, and most bloggers will tell you what they use but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to have it.

There are a few plug ins that are a MUST to have if you want your blog to function correctly and get recognized by the search engines with each post. Here are just a few that I hear over and over again that are a Must to have:

All-In-One-SEO - this allows you to set the title of your post for search engines, assign a brief description of your post, and add your own keywords, these can be different from your original post so your title and description are search engine friendly.

Google XML Sitemap - this one will create a special sitemap for Google, it does not show up on your blog, it is a behind the scene plug in.

MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer - with this plug in you don't have to worry about notifying other places when you make a post. It will also allow you to make changes to a post without notifying other places that all you did was an update. If your posts get pinged too often it can be considered spam

WordPress Database Backup - this is a Must Have plugin it will backup your complete blog and you can either have it saved to your computer and/or sent to your email address. You can set a schedule to have your blog backed up one a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.

All-in-one Bookmarking Button - this plugin will put a bookmark button at the end of your posts to make it easier for your visitors to bookmark your blog

Now like I mentioned, every blogger will tell you the plugins they use, getting and using plugins will depend greatly on the purpose of your blog and what your market will like. Do not put things on your blog that YOU like, always, always, keep your visitors/customers first in mind when you are planning your blog and content.

Now let's discuss installing your plugin.

Once you download your plugin, it will usually come in.zip format. There are different ways to install your plugin. The easiest fastest way to do this, is to log into your admin area of your blog, click on plugin and choose Add New. You will see where it says Install a plugin in.zip format. Next to this box, click the browse button to find where on your computer the plugin is saved. Click upload.

On the next page you will be able to see the status of the upload, when it is finished you will be given the links to activate your plugin click this to activate it. Now remember, some plugins require additional set up so be sure that you read all the information that comes with the plugin or on the website where you downloaded it. That is really all there is to installing your plugins and activating them.

The Importance of Blogging For Increasing Visitors to Your Website By John NN P

If you have just started a new website and are checking your stats wondering where the visitors are, you are not alone. Many people think that if the buy or make a website then the visitors and sales will just appear.
Unfortunately this isn't the case. Getting visitors is a difficult job that is an ongoing problem. Consider the competition. There were approximately 183 million websites in the first quarter of 2009. That gives a lot of places for people to visit before they get to you.

You have to do something that will make your website seem more attractive to visit than the others. Firstly people have to know about your website. A blog will give them this basic information. Secondly, a blog will allow you to comment daily on whatever you want. This will feed into the net and become a draw for people looking for something to read. Your business pages will be fairly static, but the blog can change every day, drawing people in. Once they have read your blog they will visit your site. And as they get to know you through you blog, they will be more comfortable buying from you.

A blog is therefore a vital part of your armoury. If you want to get visitors then you need to set up a blog, and update it as often as possible.

Starting a blog does not have to be expensive. In fact it can be free! If you visit wordpress.com you can easily start a blog completely free. Start updating it daily. Mention your site, and link to your site, but also comment on news and events - whatever people are searching for online. Be topical and you will soon find that your blog is driving visitors to your site.
Good luck!

Get More Traffic to Your Site With RSS to Blog By Mack Briggs

RSS to clog proves to be a boon to all bloggers since this technology helps them get more traffic to their site and establish their position in the online blogging community. In order to completely understand the technology, let us first examine the basics. As RSS program is one that prompts the online traffic that an update on a website has been made or added. The new information about a new blog will be sent out to a reader once he subscribes to a certain feed. A reader would have an option on the feed he could likely subscribe to since an RSS creates a summarized text, date when the blog was published, and author information. To facilitate a wider scope of readership for the subscribers, RSS also combines several contents from other websites.

Meanwhile, blogs are increasingly becoming popular these days since there are less stringent restrictions imposed upon them and the topics that anyone can discuss can touch on several items. Blog topics can range from the mundane to the academic, and the coherence would depend on the writer himself.

RSS to blog is a by-product of the desire to combine an efficient system and solid rationality. Because of this successful fusion, one can simultaneously earn both the desired profit and valuable time. This is mainly due to RSS to blog and its capacity to not only publish feeds to your blogs but also regular texts. If your schedule changes; you can reprogram the software easily.

An RSS to blog can be a helpful instrument if you wish to create blogs without divulging your real identity. It eliminates your footprints that can possibly be used by search engines to track you down. People who regularly post criticisms on the government or any target institution, this feature would be particularly important. By randomizing your blog formats your tracks will be eliminated as they would appear different every time while erasing possible links that could lead to you.

Concerning its attribute to create more traffic, an RSS to blog has the autolinking feature which enables you to distribute your articles to multiple blogs all at once. Top 10 Best Ways to Get Social Media Traction For Your Blog By Sally Witzky

Writing effective blog posts that get you traction often is something that puzzles the small business owner. While it's not brain science, it does take a little time to get the hang of it. Once you get a system down for writing and editing, then it gets easier with time.

Here are our top 10 best ways for you to get more mileage out of your small business blog:

  1. Write an effective blog title. Your blog's title is its billboard. It is what piques peoples interest enough to stop and read it. Don't be vague - blog titles are no place for story lines. If it takes people more than a glance to figure out if it has any relevance to them, then you'll lose your target audience. Quick.
  2. Write with enough substance but not too long. Ideal blog posts are 350-500 words in length. They can be shorter or longer. If shorter, be sure you're covering your subject with enough detail. Sometimes posts that include photos or videos can be shorter as far as number of words is concerned. If longer, be sure you're making enough new points within the article that you won't lose your reader, or graphically break up the copy with photos, bullet points or numbers as we've done here.
  3. Add a call-to-action. We usually prefer that the post is closed in some way, either with contact info to get more information or a next step for your reader. Don't just leave 'em hanging, as if the post writer was lazy and left an unfinished piece. Your readers are looking for you to sum up your points in some way or lead them to the next step so they don't have to guess at your intention.
  4. Review your keyword list. All blog owners should be working with a keyword list that includes 5 main key words or phrases that you want to really own in the search engines, along with other keywords that are relevant to your content and what your target audience is searching for. Revising your blog posts to ensure a proper density of your main key words as well as any ancillary key words or phrases is critical to your blog's success. Tip: If you do not have a keyword / keyphrase list, don't write another post until you create one! This is critical to your blogging success!
  5. Ping your blog. Be sure to ping your blog each time you post new content. This helps the search engines to know to look for updated content on your blog. Technorati, the search engine designed for searching blogs, is still valuable as is using Weblogs.com.
  6. Blog Communities. Taking the time to list your blog in popular blog directories not only helps you gain new followers by making your content appear elsewhere but increases your search engine rankings because these sites have more SEO power than your site by itself. One of my favorites is NetworkedBlogs, which integrates directly with Facebook. NetworkedBlogs keeps a ranking of the top blogs in each city based on local followers so it is particularly important for local businesses. Other blog directories we feel are a must are BlogCatalog, Blogged and MyBlogLog.
  7. Blog post sharing. It is critical to make it easy not only for your readers to comment on your blog but also for them to share it. Popular sharing services such as ShareThis, which also provides results tracking, and TweetMeme make it very easy for others to share your posts with their audiences.
  8. Outbound links. Can't tell you how many blog posts we see that utilize zero outbound links. Blog posts aren't book pages so don't treat them that way. The whole idea is that your post provides an interactive experience and a way for people to learn more about a company, product or service that you mention in your post. Plus, it's just common courtesy to refer out because that is exactly what you want others to do for you. But don't overload -- a few resources is all you need.
  9. Write well and often. Ideally, you should be posting two to three times per week on your blog. More often if possible. Google, Yahoo and Bing tend to find your blog easier and more often when there is fresh content posted that includes your blog's main key words and phrases. Building repetitive use of keywords and phrases over several entries, plus creating a history or backlog of posts (duration length) aids your overall ranking. Always add relevant photos, YouTube videos, SlideShare presentations or other graphics to make your posts more visually appealing.
  10. Tag you're it. Don't forget to take the time to include your category and post tags for each and every entry and be consistent with matching the tags to the post itself. This includes the custom title tags, meta description and meta keywords.
Effective blogging can take time but it's worth doing if you've made the commitment to your blog. If you have created guidelines for your blog's content, including your keyword list, then you can have guest bloggers add content if frequency of writing is a problem for you. If you own a small business, appoint several people to be part of a blogging team so that you as the business owner don't have to be responsible for creating all the content. Or sometimes you can find a virtual assistant or intern to help write and/or edit and post with the proper tagging sequences.

Unlock the Hidden Key to Blogging For Cash by steven . Day, sr

What if there was an easy way to make money in a relatively short period of time using the power of the internet? With all the opportunities the Internet provides, the one real requirement is that you blog.

Blogging for cash is not a new concept. The concept has, in fact, helped a lot of people convert their time and writing skills into cash. The only thing you have to do to enjoy these benefits is to give it a try.

There are many ways to start blogging for cash. In blogging, the important thing is to find a stable following and sustain it with interesting posts. Your topic - known as your "niche" - is the most important decision you have to make. There are many kinds of blogs you can maintain to make money. Here are a few you might like to try:

  1. Write reviews and get paid - One good way to use blogging to earn cash is to write reviews. Reviews written by bloggers are usually more effective because readers these days trust bloggers more since these are written by ordinary consumers like them. This is why a lot of companies prefer to have their reviews written by bloggers. You can enlist the help of certain websites to connect you with these companies.
  2. Sell your links - A lot of people making money from the Internet uses links as their main products. You can do the same. Sell the links on your blog and make money off them. One good tip is to use WordPress for your blog because WordPress offers plugins that help you to sell your own products or products of others - known as affiliate marketing.
  3. Sell ad space - If you can make money off one-liner links, you can make more off ad space on your blog. Get companies to post their ads on your site and charge them for the space. If your blog has good page ranking and following, more companies will be interested in advertising on your site.
  4. Website flipping - You can also apply the concept of website flipping to your blog. To effectively do this, be ready to maintain and nurture your blog along the way. You can earn a lot using this method, depending on the quality and longevity of your blog.

So, blogging for cash could entail using any of these methods, but they won't be effective if you don't know how to popularize your blog. The key is to improve your blog's page rank and create a good base of readers. Here are some tips on how to do this.

  1. Find your niche - The blogging world is now very congested, which is also a sign that blogging for cash is a highly beneficial business that a lot of people are getting into it. The secret to successful blogging is to find a niche and then dig down into it to find a hungry crowd. In so doing you will stand out above all the blogs out there. Preferably, find a niche with a lot of money-spending readers.
  2. Find a good topic and stick to it - If you can't find a niche, at least come up with a very good topic for your blog, then stick to it. Be focused and sustain the target of your blog. This will help sustain the following that you manage to create.
  3. Content is still king - Surely you've heard the phrase that "content is king." Times have changed and the blogging world has evolved, but content is still king. The Internet is used the most for information searching, so if you have the information that readers are seeking, then readers will go to your blog.

Blogging for cash has a lot of promise. It's not instant money, though. Blogging for cash takes time and work, but it's something that you can do on your own, a personal project that you can devote time to and nurture as it grows. And, along the way, you can create a pretty sizable income.
